Privacy Policy

Last updated 21 June 2026

This policy explains how Sliann Limited, which operates yourbakery.ie, collects and uses your personal data, and the rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible for your data

Sliann Limited is the data controller for yourbakery.ie. You can contact us about privacy at support@yourbakery.ie.

2. What we collect

We collect the following kinds of personal data:

  • Account data — your name, email address, and phone number, and for Bakers your business details.
  • Order data — the orders you place or receive, collection dates and times, and related messages.
  • Payment data — deposits and balances are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation and limited transaction details; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Technical and usage data — information your device sends when you use the service, such as log and security data.

3. How and why we use it

We use personal data to:

  • operate the platform and your account;
  • process orders, deposits, and balances;
  • send service messages by email (via SendGrid) and SMS (via Esendex), such as order updates;
  • keep the platform safe and prevent fraud and fee evasion;
  • meet legal obligations, including reporting Baker and sales information to the Irish Revenue Commissioners under the DAC7 digital-platform reporting rules;
  • improve the service.

Our legal bases are: performance of our contract with you; our legitimate interests in running and protecting the platform; compliance with a legal obligation; and your consent (for example, for analytics cookies).

4. Who we share it with

To fulfil an order, the relevant details are shared between the Customer and the Baker involved. We also use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Google Cloud — hosting and database (EU region);
  • Firebase Authentication — sign-in and session security;
  • Stripe — payment processing;
  • SendGrid — email delivery;
  • Esendex — SMS delivery.

We share data with the Irish Revenue Commissioners where DAC7 requires it, and with authorities where the law requires. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Where your data is held

We host the platform in Google Cloud's Ireland (europe-west1) region. Some of our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, that transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations (for example, records we must retain for DAC7 and tax purposes), after which it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access a copy of your personal data;
  • correct inaccurate data;
  • erase your data, where applicable;
  • port your data to another service;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent at any time.

You can download a copy of your data and request deletion of your account from within your account settings. You may also contact us at support@yourbakery.ie. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

8. Cookies

We use only essential cookies by default and set analytics cookies only with your consent. See our Cookie Policy for details.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and httpOnly session cookies. No online service can be completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

10. Children

yourbakery.ie is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above shows when it last changed. For any privacy question, contact support@yourbakery.ie.
