Terms of Service

Last updated 21 June 2026

These terms govern your use of yourbakery.ie, an online marketplace operated by Sliann Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or placing an order you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Who we are and what we do

yourbakery.ie is operated by Sliann Limited, a company registered in Ireland. We provide an online platform that connects home and independent bakers (“Bakers”) with customers (“Customers”) across Ireland.

We are an intermediary only. When a Customer orders from a Baker, the contract for the baked goods is formed directly between that Customer and that Baker. We are not the maker, seller, or supplier of any baked goods and we are not a party to that contract. We provide the technology, order management, and payment facilitation that make the transaction possible.

2. Accounts

yourbakery.ie is currently in a closed pilot and accounts are invite-only. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your login credentials secure, and to be responsible for activity under your account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully, or where required to protect users or the platform.

3. Orders, deposits and payment

Each order is for a single product or a single custom request — the platform does not operate a multi-item basket. All prices are shown and charged in euro (EUR).

To confirm an order, the Customer pays a deposit online through our payment provider, Stripe. The remaining balance is paid at collection — either by card through Stripe or, where the Baker has chosen to accept it, in cash. The order total, deposit, and balance shown at checkout are the amounts that apply.

A Baker confirms, declines, or fulfils each order. If a Baker declines an order, the deposit is refunded in line with section 6.

4. Fees

A per-order service fee applies to Bakers on each confirmed order. This fee is shown to the Baker and is collected at the time the deposit is taken; no service fee is charged on the balance paid at collection.

Bakers choose a plan. The Hobbyist plan has no monthly subscription fee (€0/month); the Kitchen and Bakery plans are paid monthly subscriptions that unlock additional features. A per-order fee and standard payment-processing fees apply on every plan.

5. Baker responsibilities

Bakers are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. As a Baker you are solely responsible for your products and your business, including: food safety and hygiene; accurate ingredient, allergen, and labelling information; any registration required with the relevant food safety authority; the accuracy of your listings and prices; fulfilling orders you accept; and your own tax affairs.

Where we are required to do so, we report information about Bakers and their sales to the Irish Revenue Commissioners under the DAC7 rules on digital-platform reporting. By selling through the platform you agree to provide the information we need to meet that obligation.

6. Cancellations, refunds and disputes

Because many orders are made-to-order and perishable, cancellation and refund outcomes depend on the circumstances and the Baker's stated policy. If something goes wrong with an order, you can raise it with the Baker and, if it is not resolved, raise a dispute through the platform. We may help mediate and, where appropriate, facilitate a refund of amounts processed through us.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits your statutory rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the platform unlawfully or to misuse it. In particular, deposits for orders introduced through yourbakery.ie must be taken through the platform: arranging payment off-platform to avoid fees is not permitted and may result in suspension.

8. Intellectual property

The platform, its software, and its branding belong to Sliann Limited or its licensors. Bakers retain rights in the content they upload (such as product photos and descriptions) and grant us a licence to host and display that content for the purpose of operating the platform.

9. Liability

The platform is provided on an “as is” basis. As we are not the seller of the baked goods, we are not responsible for their quality, safety, or fitness — those are the responsibility of the Baker. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when they last changed. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
